Day 1 - Opening Day

Opening Day! My day started early that day - I was walking to Tom's hotel and folks were already in line at 4am standing in the rain. When waiting in the lobby, I ran into a couple of the stars who were just arriving and had been up all night - ouch. I got in line around 5:20am.

This line eventually grew well beyond what was in sight - didn't get a count but suffice to say it was very very long. My friend Tom is near the Don't Walk sign.



One of the bounty hunters from Episode V - well done one at that. He needed the help of a seeing eye human to keep from running into things. Overall a nicely done costume.



Not a bad Han and Chewie pair. Chewie was on stilts. We ran into them as we were walking back to Tom's room to drop off our loot before heading out to dinner. He was having to duck his head to get through the doorways!



Not a bad Anakin Skywalker costume!



Mr. and Mrs. Tuskin Raider. Pretty good costumes!



Pretty decent Princess Leia with storm troopers.



Of all the Celebration III shirts - this one is the has the most truth on it. Too bad it's fan made (therefore not for sale to everyone) because it is so true! Anyone who's a veteran of these things would perfectly understand this shirt.

We saw this shirt while waiting in line for the store. It was a good thing we hit it when we did because later there were almost riots there. They once again mishandled the store. Fortunately we were able to get most of what we wanted because getting back in became impossible.
