Day 4 - Autographs

The final day. It has been fun, but just the same it was totally exhausting. It felt good to catch up on rest and live somewhat of a routine life.

Who knows whether they'll do another one - hard telling at this point. Hopefully they'll be more organized in the future.

I went to the Warwick Davis breakfast this day - not a bad way to gain early entrance and not have to wait in the cold! Here's Mr. Davis posing with his autograph card.

Peter Mayhew

Peter Mayhew! Also known as Chewbacca. If you were to see him in public just walking you'd recognize him. His massive 7'-4" frame and very distinct gate is impossible to mistake. NOBODY moves like he does. He was a bit more talkative than he was during Celebration II. Very nice man.

Matthew Wood

Matthew Wood. This guy has been a 15 year employee with ILM before getting a role that thrust him into the spot light. How? He's the voice for General Grievous - one of the new characters. I went to his show afterwards and it was funny seeing him (with the aid of a very fancy computer voice changer) ask Lord Sidious if he wanted fries with that as General Grievous would've said.

Ray Park

Ray Park - AKA Darth Maul! Very cool fellow. This is actually the second time I saw in close like this - the first time he was in the elevator gallery at the hotel across the street. I opted not to bother him at the time because
  1. He was already doing other things
  2. Distinctly heard him say he had been up since 2am. Ouch.

Temuera Morrison

Everyone's favorite singing clone - Temuera Morrison. Also played Jango Fett.

Daniel Logan

Daniel Logan - Young Boba Fett. He was pretty cool. I had him sign the same card as Temuera did.

Caroline Blakiston

Caroline Blakiston - Mon Mothma. One of the Rebel leaders. She had that line "Many Bothans died to get this information".

Zack Jensen

Zack Jensen who played the Jedi Kit Fisto. Everyone's favorite green tentacle headed Jedi with a toothy grin. In Episode 2 he was the Jedi who knocked down the 3P0 headed battle droid with a smile.

Richard LeParmentier

Richard LeParmentier was Admiral Motti, best known for having a disturbing lack of faith in the force.

Michael Sheard

Gah, I blurred it a tad. Michael Sheard played the first unfortunate Imperial to die on screen by Vader's hands. Admiral Ozzel! Unfortunately he passed in August of 2005 so reshooting will not be an option.

Later at the Wookies show - apparently they had to reshuffle things a bit since Michael Kingma had not been able to make it due to visa problems. Ick. Mayhew towered over the others on stage. Here they are surprising him an early birthday cake, apparently he was born on May 19th - when Revenge of the Sith is to be released.

This is a long distance shot of Peter again - this time standing up on stage. You can see some camera noise on this image - my E-1 works better at speeds under ISO 800. If there was ever an achilles heel to this camera it's that.
